Our 3 Days Lake Mburo National Park & Jinja – Source of the Nile safari presents to you a true taste of the African wild in a park only 4 hour drive away from Kampala. Lake Mburo National Park harbours several wildlife species not observed elsewhere in Uganda. It is the only place in Uganda to support a population of impalas and only one of the three protected areas countrywide where Burchell’s zebra occurs, the other two being the far less accessible Kidepo and Pian-Upe.
Meet and great at Entebbe International Airport and transfer to Lake Mburo National Park located in western Uganda. As you travel across the beautiful landscape of central Uganda made of rolling hills and cultivated terraces, stop-over en-route at Mpambire, to watch drum making being made using old traditional methods, and at the Equator line for souvenir photos. On arrival at the lodge, you will enjoy a game drive in the park and 1-hour boat ride on Lake Mburo to admire the beautiful landscapes and in search of close encounters with the local fauna: bush bucks, duikers, crocodiles, hippos, plenty of water bird species.
You will after breakfast, set off for Jinja city to visit the source of the Nile, Africa’s longest River. You will arrive in the evening and check in your accommodation after you will head for your today’s activity. Continue to the real source of the Nile and see where the Nile originates from. Explore the source of the Nile and later return to your accommodation for dinner and overnight.
You will after breakfast have a brief drive through this historical city, then head for white water rafting on the Nile. There after you will transfer back to Kampala or Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight and this will mark the end of your Lake Mburo National Park and Source of the Nile safari.
