Book our 3 Days Mgahinga gorilla trekking safari – Driving to the south-western part of Uganda the Pearl of Africa will get you to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park. This is one of the small National Parks but one of the biggest reasons to visit Uganda for its amazing Gorilla tracking activity. Mgahinga Gorilla National Park in Uganda is where you can track Mountain Gorillas and Golden Monkeys, the two world endangered primates. Mgahinga Gorilla National Park has one habituated Gorilla family called Nyakagezi, which tends to move around most times, and is made up of 9 members, and also has some of the big game including buffalos and forest elephants. Birdlife in Mgahinga Gorilla National Park is also quite impressive with about 184 recorded bird species.
After your early breakfast, you will be picked up by our safari guide to commence your three days Mgahinga Gorilla tracking safari as you transfer to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park with lunch en-route and a stop at the Equator line for informative talks and photography. On arrival at the National Park, check-in at your accommodation facility.
Have early breakfast, and head onto the park headquarters for briefing from the park ranger guides. Make sure to carry with you a packed lunch and drinking water since you may spend some good hours in search of the habituated Nyakagezi Gorilla family since their movement is unpredicted. Park rangers do track their movements at all times thus failing to find them is minimal. When you find them you are allowed not more than an hour around them. After trekking, return to the lodge to relax, have dinner, and then overnight.
Wake up early morning and have your breakfast and thereafter transfer back to Kampala or Entebbe International Airport for your flight out. You are advised to book flights that depart late at night in case you choose to fly out the same day you drive back from Mgahinga Gorilla National Park.
