Detailed Itinerary
Day One: Nairobi City to Sweet Waters Tended Camp
On arrival, you will be met by a Great Adventure Safaris driver guide and commence a safari to the exquisite Sweet water’s Tented Camp in the secluded heart of the Ol peseta Ranch and Rhino Sanctuary. Lunch will be served at the Camp. Sweet waters are built
in a private ranch and supports a large number of the game which include Elephants, Giraffes, and many more others, and it’s only here where you have an excess of night games. Dinner and overnight will be at Sweet water’s Tented Camp.
Day Two: Sweet Waters to Samburu National Reserve
After your early morning breakfast, you will drive further north to Samburu Game Reserve, located high above the banks of the life-giving Uaso Nyiro River in the Shaba Game Reserve. Lunch will be served at the lodge. Afternoon game viewing in
the reserve is filled with the scenic beauty of the reserve. The reserve is renowned for its unique species of animals that include Somali Ostriches, Reticulated Giraffes, Beisa Oryx, Generuk, and the Gravy’s Zebras among others. Later return to the lodge for dinner and overnight Lodge.
Day Three: Explore Samburu National Reserve
Before dawn, your driver-guide will be ready for an early morning search of hunting cats in Samburu National Reserve as you drive around the reserve. Later return to the lodge for normal breakfast and relax at the swimming pool before the next game drive late afternoon. All meals and overnight will be at the Lodge.
Day Four: Samburu National Reserve to Lake Nakuru
After your early morning breakfast depart from Samburu National Reserve and drive south through Isiolo, crossing the northernmost foothills of Mountain Kenya up to Nanyuki town. Thereafter, head west to Nyahururu Falls, still known to many as
Thomson’s falls. After a brief stopover, drive southward to the next destination, Lake Nakuru home to a million flamingos beautifully lining at its shores. An afternoon game drive around the Lakeshore will be the feature for the afternoon, dinner and overnight will be at the Lake Nakuru Lodge.
Day Five: Lake Nakuru to Masai Mara National Reserve
Enjoy your early breakfast at the lodge and depart to flamingo fringed Lake Nakuru and proceed southwards and then to Maai Mahiu to ascend over to the top of the Mau Escarpment and proceed to Masai Mara. Lunch will be served at the lodge. After lunch and some relaxation and perhaps take a dip in the pool, depart for an afternoon game drive in search of the Big Five. As the sun starts to edge dip into the horizon it will
be the perfect time for photography at the beautiful Mara rolling plains. Don’t forget this is the right time to spot the shy leopard. Dinner and overnight will be at Mara Sopa Lodge.
Day Six: Explore Masai Mara for a full day
This day will start with an early morning game drive before dawn and later return to the Lodge for breakfast and relax for the rest of the late morning and perhaps take a dip at the swimming pool. Later in the afternoon return to the wilderness in search of more games, all meals and overnight will be served at the camp.
Day Seven: Masai Mara National Reserve to Nairobi City
After your morning breakfast, take a drive and transfer back to Nairobi City and arrive in time for lunch at one of the Restaurants. Later in the evening, Optional dinner at one of the Restaurants, and depending on your flight details you will be transferred to the Airport to connect with your flight back home.
