Uganda Media Council requires any foreign journalist and all film crew members to be accredited and we can secure Media Cards on your behalf in 3-4 working days if you follow our instructions. When contacted, we will send you our Form G which gathers all the details required by Uganda Media Council which should be filled and returned by email to the respective fixer in our office plus two passport photos and a copy Passport from each crew member. Please note that if you are filming for more than one month, then the fees per Media Cards will increase. The government of Uganda requires all film crews intending to come with their filming equipment to temporarily clear it at immigration on arrival at the Entebbe International Airport something that can waste much of your time and you end up incurring the unexpected cost. At Great Adventure Safaris, we will request you to send through your Kit list which we shall send to our specialist clearing agent for an evaluation. It is usually a percentage of the total and once we have established how much it would cost, we will advise you accordingly and you pay for this in advance. On arrival, our clearing agent will be waiting for you at immigrations to help and take you through all this process.
Crews can always obtain a Visa on arrival but sometimes, film crews do not like lining up for this. We can help you to obtain a Tourist Visa or Business Visa to Uganda on arrival or inform one of our embassies closer to you. If requested, we will send you a letter that you will present to any embassy for them to issue you a visa otherwise, you can easily secure it on arrival at Entebbe International Airport after paying only USD50.
