All you need to know about Rwanda gorilla tracking – It’s important to know what gorilla tracking experience has a lot that people need to know before making it to Rwanda without having any disturbances and inconveniences.

Volcanoes national park is the main area for gorilla tracking in Rwanda and easier trek compared to the neighbours Uganda.
The park lies under 5 volcanoes of Muhavura, Gahinga, karisimbi, sabyinyo and bisoke which has a vegetation range from tropical rain forest to the bamboo zone which is as high as the gorillas can go but considering the height of the of the highest volcanoes bisoke which lies at 4507 meters above sea level there you will find heath and moorland which is not a good habitat for the gorillas so they will stay low altitude.
Compared to Bwindi whose highest peak is at 2600 meters above sea level but which is fully compared with rain forest.

-gorilla tracking is considered a physical activity so clients travelling to Rwanda must ensure they do some exercise before travelling to Rwanda for Rwanda gorilla tracking safari.
-gorilla tracking permits needs advance booking so clients who want to travel to Rwanda must ensure they book their gorilla permits in advance.
-age limit for gorilla tracking in Rwanda is 15 and above.
-You will always have a gorilla briefing before you start your gorilla tracking experience.
-clients will always spend one hour with the mountain gorillas after you find them.
-maximum of 8 people are allowed to trek one gorilla family per day.
-An advance team of trackers always goes in to the forest first before the client’s start the trek the team will start to look for the family of gorillas and communicates to the gorilla guide.
-Gorilla tracking time ranges from 30 minutes to find the gorillas and you spent one hour with them and return for 30 minutes so the whole activity will take2 hours and the longest trek can be 9 hours meaning that you will walk for 4 hours and spent 1 hour with the gorillas and return back for 4 hours.
-Gorilla families differ in number of members for example a family of gorillas can be consisting of silverbacks, black backs, females, juveniles, and babies.
-A good camera can be an added advantage for people who may be interested in gorilla tracking.
