Boat Cruise in Murchison Falls National Park – Water fall boat cruise on the Nile – Delta boat cruise on the Nile
Boat cruise in Murchison Falls – River Nile is the Longest River in the entire world with its source beginning in Jinja city found in Eastern Uganda. Its name was derived from the Greek word ‘Nile’ for ‘valley’. The River begins from the North-Eastern section of Africa and flows to the nearby areas adjacent to the Equator line continuing to the safari desert until it finally pours into the Mediterranean Sea.
At Murchison Falls National Park the Victoria Nile is pushed down a 45-meter fall which gives the National Park its name. It is a popular attraction in the National Park to go for a boat cruise on the Nile. The journey takes around three hours and brings you to the base of the falls. Along the way, it is possible to see Elephants, Hippos, Nile crocodiles, Buffaloes, Giraffes, and several species of water birds. For the one who wishes there is an option of getting off the boat by the base of the falls and taking a hike to the top of the falls.

We can offer you a private boat on the river exclusively for activities and timings to suit you. Perhaps some fishing combined with bird viewing or simply taking in the beauty and views from the boat as you search for the animals en route. Your guide can show you special places for a stop-off and walk or moor up for a while and enjoy your sundowners. Just tell us your wishes and we will accommodate you as best we can.
Cruise and Safari
Your park experience can be enhanced by combining river voyages with pre-arranged vehicle collection. Travel by boat to the delta and return to Paraa with a game drive through the game-rich Buligi area. Or leave your boat in Fajao Gorge and climb to the top of the falls for the view down into the thunderous chasm, before returning to Paraa by vehicle – either your own or we can arrange one for hire.
