Day One: Arrive at Kigali International Airport
Arrive at Kigali International Airport where your private Great Adventure Safaris guide and driver will pick you and your party to your accommodation in Kigali. In case you arrive early in the day, your guide will take you on a Kigali city excursion.
Day Two: Transfer to Bwindi National Park-Batwa community Walk
Start your second day of your Budget Uganda Gorilla Adventure via Kigali after an early breakfast and take a country road trip and cross to Uganda through Katuna or Chanika boarder down to Bwindi National Park where the mountain Gorilla flourishes. In case you didn’t have an opportunity to visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial, this can be done in the morning before we head into the countryside.
Arrive in the afternoon and check into your forest lodge time permitting, we proceed for a village visit which is a great place to get a cultural insight into Uganda’s Batwa and Bakiga people.
Day Three: Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi Forest National Park.
With Early Morning Breakfast and parked lunch, we set off to Bwindi Forest National Park trailhead for your Gorilla tracking briefing, a cultural dancing performed for you. This is the day you get deep into the Budget Uganda Gorilla Adventure highlight and rewrite your memories about the African jungle.
Before setting out for your Gorilla trek, you will need to be closed in long trousers, long-sleeved shirt, light rain-jacket, hat with wide brim, gardening gloves to pull yourself up on branches, hiking boots with good traction and that are worn in. The Gorilla trek itself is between 3 and 5 hours or longer. It is well worth it and the experience of a lifetime for you.
Day Four: Transfer to Kigali Airport for international outbound flight
After breakfast, check out from the lodge at leisure and be transferred to Kigali International Airport to check in for your international flight.
