Queen Elizabeth National park
Queen Elizabeth National Park is situated in south west region of Uganda and is the Uganda’s most popular tourist destination which started in 1952 as Kazinga National Park and latterly on it was named Queen Elizabeth National Park after the visit of Queen Elizabeth the 11 to Uganda. It covers a distance of 420 kilometers squared by road and it takes 5-6 hours drive from Kampala the capital city of Uganda the Pearl of Africa.

Queen Elizabeth National Park is one of the famous Park in the world for wild animals where tourist can be able to spot. Lions, leopards, Buffaloes, Elephants, different species of antelopes such as the Uganda kobs and more.

Queen Elizabeth National Park is one of the Park where Chimpanzee trekking is done. This lasts for two-three hours and it is being led by a ranger guide in the Kyambura Gorge to their main habitat.

It can be accessed from Kampala in 5-6 hours’ drive, by road you can have a stopover at the equator to know where sun sets from, tea plantations which makes Uganda a green Country. Alternatively tourists can as well fly to the Park for only one hour from Entebbe.

Queen Elizabeth National Park can be visited all year round more in the high season in months of January, March, June, August, September and December.
