Detailed Itinerary
Day One: Travel to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park
You will start the 4 Days Gorilla Trekking and Volcano Hike Safari adventure early and drive to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park, 8-9 hours away. This route is well endowed with remarkable tourist attractions including the Equator line, savannah plains, the rolling hills, and a rich cultural backdrop. Lunch is at one of the many stopover points on the way.
Day Two: Gorilla Trekking in Mgahinga Gorilla National Park
You will have an early breakfast and be driven to the Park Headquarters for a briefing on the rules and regulations of Gorilla trekking. After the briefing, you will set off for the Gorilla trekking in very thick vegetation. Gorilla Trekking takes between 2-8 hours and you will have one hour to stay with these intelligent, majestic, and gentle giants that share over 98% of their genetic material with humans.
In the afternoon you will enjoy your time as you relax at the lodge after your long day of Gorilla tracking in the jungle.
Day Three: Volcano Hiking Adventure
On the third day of the Gorilla Trekking and Volcano Hike, we choose one of the four complementary tours that can be undertaken in this place. You will go on a Volcano hiking adventure. You will return to your safari lodge and spend the rest of the time resting till dinner time and overnight.
Day Four: Travel back to Kampala
You will depart Mgahinga Gorilla National Park after breakfast and travel back to Kampala or Entebbe International Airport with a stopover for lunch in Mbarara city. You will continue the journey and make another stopover at the Equator line where you will have an opportunity to stand in two hemispheres at the same time and take some photos arriving in Kampala in the late afternoon.

Gorilla trekking permit at a cost of USD700 per person per trek
Travel & Health insurance – This should be arranged by you in your home country before you travel.
