Chimpanzee permits in Uganda have different costs and booked through different offices. Kibale Forest Chimpanzee permits costs USD200 per person per trek, Kyambura Gorge Chimpanzee permits in Queen Elizabeth National Park costs USD50 per person per person all booked and purchased at Uganda Wildlife Authority headquarters. Budongo Forest Chimpanzee permits in Murchison Falls National Park costs USD90 per person per trek and are booked through Uganda Lodges, the Kalinzu Eco tourism site Chimpanzee permits costs USD80 per person per trek and are booked through the National Forest Authority. Kindly note, the Chimpanzee tracking age limit in Uganda is twelve (12) years old please inquire about the age limit before booking Uganda Chimpanzee permits. Chimpanzee tracking is done in two shifts per day with the first one in the morning and the second one in the afternoon in all the Chimpanzee tracking destinations. Kibale Forest National Park has a community of about 150 Chimpanzee individuals. During the day community members split into small parties to avoid competition on food and later reunion in the evening to build nests for overnight. A maximum of six people are entitled to an armed ranger guide to go for Chimpanzee tracking.
