Nkuringo region is another remarkable gorilla trekking region in the southern side of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Getting to this sector takes you about 8-10 hours by road from Kampala and 3-4 hours by road from Kigali capital city. Only 3 gorilla families are available for trekking in Nkuringo region of Bwindi National Park and they include Nkuringo, Christmas and Bushaho (opened for gorilla trekking recently). They translate to about 24 gorilla permits and each of them costs $700 per person per trek
