Plan your gorilla adventure in Uganda now – gorilla trekking in Uganda is a life time experience and every travelers would like to trek mountain gorillas in a natural setting before they leave this planet earth, .so this means that you need to plan your gorilla trekking adventure in advance and this is the right time to secure your gorilla permit and safari for 2024 before the permits are sold out.
Gorilla permits availability changes every day and more so hourly, so we need to secure them when there is still availability, to avoid frustration by booking your slots late, during the peak season of June, July, August, December, January and February gorilla trekking permits tend to sell out so it needs advance booking. For you information it happened to me sometime last year when I checked availability and on reaching to UWA to make the payment for my permits, someone else had snapped them up, so we need to be keen when reserving gorilla permits and safari. Also note that by July 2020 gorilla permits will be increased to $700 per person per trek for Bwindi impenetrable National Park and Mgahinga National Park.

Plan your gorilla adventure in advance; contact us to check for gorilla permits availability, there is a system where we can check availability basing on the date, month and year of your choosing, and once we find availability, we will send you an invoice to make full payment of your gorilla permits to confirm your slots, we will to go to Uganda wildlife office in Kampala and pay for your gorilla permits, there we can go ahead and secure other services after confirming the permits.
Book for the lodge or hotel
After confirming your gorilla permit, you can now to ahead and book for accommodation, Uganda wildlife Authority sells gorilla permits basing on trekking sectors/regions but not gorilla families so you either buy a permit for Rushaga, Nkuringo, Ruhija or Buhoma, so the sector is where you book accommodation as your lodge must be close to the starting point or UWA office in Uganda to avoid inconveniences in the morning. Even the lodges need prior booking as they can be booked to capacity if you tend to make late booking, you may find yourself missing out, and if they require a deposit payment, kindly go ahead and deposit to confirm the booking.
Transportation and guiding
Once you secure your gorilla permit and accommodation, you can now look for the vehicle, some travelers use public means but I would advise you to book your transport through a tour operator as some time you may be stuck along the way when a bus gets mechanical problems and you are most likely to miss your trek, but a company makes sure that you reach the destination which is Bwindi impenetrable National Park for your gorilla trek. A vehicle comes with an English speaking driver/guide and we always advise to use a real safari land cruiser/jeep due to the nature of roads that links you to Bwindi impenetrable National Park.
What to park
