Ruhija Gorilla Permits are available for tourists on a daily basis where tour operators can book them through Uganda Wildlife Authority offices. Ruhija sector has been for long time popular in Gorilla trekking after Buhoma sector the north of Bwindi National Park.
Ruhija has four different Gorilla families which are open to tourism and that means, there are thirty two Gorilla permits available for Ruhija sector every day at the Uganda Wildlife Authority offices on a first come first serve basis. Ruhija habituated Gorilla families are Bitukura, Oruzogo, Mukiza Gorilla families and Kyagurilo Gorilla family which also double as a research Gorilla family.

Ruhija Gorilla Permit Booking
Gorilla permits in Uganda are now booked and allocated depending on the region/sector where some of these habituated mountain Gorillas families are found. If you wish to trek mountain Gorillas in Ruhija the Eastern part of Bwindi National Park you will have an opportunity to trek one of the four Gorilla families in this region which are Oruzogo, Bitukura, Kyagurilo and Mukiza Gorilla families. Uganda Gorilla permits are only booked and issued by the Uganda Wildlife Authority a government body in charge of all our National Parks and their reserves. Gorilla family allocation can only be done on ground on your Gorilla trekking day.
