Rwanda gorilla booking & permit terms – Gorilla tracking in Rwanda is a very special activity that everyone who visit the country puts first on his/her bucket list, the country is a home to the endangered mountain gorillas and golden monkey.
The terms and conditions are also referred to as important information to know before booking gorilla safaris to Rwanda.
Clients visiting Rwanda upon booking their gorilla permit are required to submit a passport that is valid for over 6 months from the dates that you expect to travel to Rwanda for gorilla tracking experience.
Before making payments a client is expected to send the copy of the valid passport to the tour operator for them to be able to purchase the gorilla permits from Rwanda development Board.
–24 hour payment period.
Upon confirmation of the safari you are expected to make payments for the gorilla permits as you can’t hold the gorilla permits since they are sold by the government of Rwanda through the body Rwanda Development Board.
–Age limit for trekking.
Age limit for gorilla tracking in Rwanda is 15 years so before you book the gorilla permits please make sure all travellers are more than 15 years and above.
This is a national policy for conservation which allows only 8 people to trek each family of mountain gorillas daily from volcanoes national park.

Clients must know that Rwanda gorilla tracking is a physical activity please ensures you’re physically ok before travelling to Rwanda for gorilla tracking.
Rwanda gorilla permits will allow clients to spend strictly one hour with the mountain gorillas after they find them in the rain forest of volcanoes national park.
Clients who will display signs of communicable diseases will not be allowed to trek the mountain gorillas as the gorillas can suffer from human diseases.
It’s important to note that in Rwanda they largely speak the local Kinyarwanda language and French as the main languages but in tourism hubs there are many staff that speak English like tour guides, receptionists so please be informed before travelling to Rwanda.
Rwanda gorilla permits can be transferred from one holder to the other if an official letter with clear reason is submitted to Rwanda development Board.
-No refund policy.
Unfortunately Rwanda gorilla permits are not refundable as the park would have lost many customers since you became the holder of the gorilla permit.
Rwanda is open for tourism all year round but the best months are June –August and December-February and the other months of March-May and September-November are rainy season but the it does not rain whole day so this can give clients time to visit the mountain gorillas all year round.
