Volcanoes national park is located north of the country’s main capital Kigali covering an area of 160 sq kms covered in the tropical rain forest.
Nyungwe forest national park is located south western part of the country’s main capital and it covers an area of 970 sq kms stretching down to Burundi’s kabira forest national park.
A primate is any member of the biological order of primate; the group contains all the species commonly related to the monkeys, apes, lamas with a latter category including human beings.
Apes are primate species that is ground dwelling pre dominantly herbivores forest based these include Gorillas which are sub divided in to 4 species of mountain gorillas, eastern lowland gorillas, western lowland gorillas and cross river gorillas chimpanzees that are divided in to two subspecies of ordinary chimpanzees and baboons.

Rwanda primate and ape trekking safaris are available all year round but the best months are usually during the dry season from June-August and December-February which will see the countries rain seasons are March-May and September- November.
But it’s important to note that rains in Rwanda don’t last the whole day usually rains are few hours and sun shows up and warms up.
