Film Crew Members and Custom Clearing
The Uganda government requires all film crews intending to come with their equipment to temporarily clear it at the immigration on arrival something that can waste much of your time and you end up incurring unexpected costs. We at Great Adventure Safaris Uganda we will request you to send through your Kit list including the name, serial number, and the value of each item which we shall send to our clearing agent for an evaluation and then after we let you know how much it will cost you to clear in your Kit which is always a certain percentage of the total cost of your Kit.
Visa for Film Crew Members
Visas for Film Crew Members can be obtained upon arrival at the airport, but to avoid wasting time in the line we can help you to obtain a Tourist Visa to Uganda on arrival. We simply send you a letter that you present to the embassy for them to issue you a Visa or you can choose to secure it on arrival after paying USD50 per person.
Uganda Wildlife Contract
Film Crews who wish to do their shooting in any of Uganda’s National Parks require signing a contract with the Uganda Wildlife Authority and securing permits for their filming. At Great Adventure Safaris Uganda, we process and obtain for you a Memorandum of Understanding from Uganda Wildlife Authority which will enable you carry out your filming in any of our ten National Parks. Filming the Mountain Gorillas will cost you more than filming the Chimpanzees or other wildlife. Our location fixers are well conversant with filming crew fixing fees at the Uganda Wildlife Authority and you won’t go wrong at any one time. To help you through this you will need to send us a letter with your company logo an details explaining who you are, which National Parks you wish to film, for how long and how your shoot will help Uganda as a tourist destination. This letter should also have details of all the crew members and their designations and if you want us to pick your copy when it is done with Uganda Wildlife Authority on your behalf then you will have to send us an authorized letter to enable us do that for you.
