It hosts not only mountain gorillas but also chimpanzees, black and white Colobus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, Vervet monkeys, L’Hoest’s monkeys, 220 butterfly species, 350 bird species including the African green pigeon, Ruwenzori Apalis, Regal Sunbird, purple breasted sunbird, western green tinker bird, African green broadbill, Chaplin’s flycatchers, cream banded swallowtail; elephants and many reptiles.

Gorilla permits
