Things to note
Day one: You will be picked up from Kigali International Airport/any hotel in Kigali-Rwanda to start your Uganda Gorilla Safari to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. The drive is very scenic as it takes you through a country of “A thousand Hills” to the Pearl of Africa and a visit to the genocide memorial site in Kigali.
You cross over to Uganda at either Katuna or Kyanika borders before proceeding to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park for dinner and overnight.
Day two: Wake up in the morning for early breakfast and you transfer to the park offices with your packed lunch, register and go for a briefing about Gorilla tracking. The park ranger guide will take you through all the dos and the don’ts while with the Mountain Gorillas. Thereafter you will be transferred to the starting point to begin your walk into the forest to search for the Gorilla family you have been assigned.

Gorilla family allocation depends on your interest, level of fitness and age.
You may inform your guide of your interests, and he will try to request for a Gorilla family of your choice before you start the trek into the forest.
Gorilla tracking can take between 30 minutes to three quarters of the day so one needs to prepare for both.
Your park ranger guide will provide more information about the Gorillas and other wildlife in forest until you reach a given Gorilla family.
You will be allowed only one hour to observe the Gorillas as they go about their daily activities and take photography and videos and then after you will trek back to the park headquarters where you will be rewarded a certificate in recognition of conserving the Mountain Gorillas in Uganda.
Day three:
After breakfast at leisure, you will drive back to Rwanda-Kigali International Airport for your flight. This will mark the end of your Rwanda-Uganda Gorilla Safari to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park.
