This Uganda Mountain Gorillas and Rwanda Golden Monkey tracking Safari is conducted exclusively for tracking the endangered Mountain Gorillas in Bwindi forest of Uganda and Rwanda Golden monkeys in the Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda. Depending on the time you have, visit the Genocide museums in Kigali to pay tribute to the more than 1, 000,000 people who lost their lives during the genocide of the 1994.

Day One: Arrival in Rwanda, City tour of Kigali and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Day Two: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi and transfer to Musanze
Day Three: Golden monkey tracking in Volcanoes National Park and transfer to Kigali
Upon arrival in Kigali International Airport-Rwanda you will start this Uganda Mountain Gorillas and Rwanda Golden monkeys by touring the city of Kigali during which you will visit the Genocide memorial sites where more than one million people lost their lives during the genocide of the mid 1994 in Rwanda and listen to the horrific story of how people were cruelly put to death.
You will later transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in Uganda through either Katuna or Chanika boarder and check in at the Hotel booked for you in Bwindi near the park for dinner and overnight.
After an early breakfast with your packed lunch, you will transfer to the National park offices for registration and a briefing about the dos and the don’ts while on your Gorilla trek. You will then drive to the starting point or sometimes start your walk from the park offices to your allocated Gorilla family. Please note that Gorilla family allocation depends on your interests, physical fitness and age. You will have to inform your guide of any interests and he will try to request for a Gorilla family of your choice before you start the trek into the jungle.
After your Gorilla tracking return back to the park offices for a celebration upon your successful Gorilla tracking experience where you will be rewarded a certificate in recognition for having contributed to the conservation of these giant apes. Then after, return to your lodge for check out and transfer to Volcanoes National Park arriving in the late evening for dinner and overnight.
You will have breakfast and move to the Park headquarters for a briefing on the Golden monkey tracking rules before going out to track them in the forest. The trek takes 1-4 hours and you have one hour to stay with the Golden monkeys once found. You will later transfer to Kigali for overnight or straight to the airport for your international departure flight.
