A simple answer to this is to bring comfortable clothes that can take a bit of dust. As for the Ugandans themselves the way of dressing differs with everything from modern clothes to traditional dresses being seen on the streets.
The temperature here in Uganda is pretty stable all through the year, in most parts of the country it rarely falls below 20 degrees Celsius, so based on this light clothes such as shorts, light pants, skirts and t-shirts are most of the time enough. With this said it is not suitable to wear short skirts, dresses or shorts, to respect the culture here make sure that they are at least knee length.
In addition to that, you should bring something that covers you up like a long sleeved shirt and long pants to get protection from malaria carrying mosquitoes as well as some cool weather in the evenings. For the feet sandals or sneakers works fine. Other than this it is good to think of having something to put on your head as protection from the sun and maybe a light long-sleeved shirt in case you get too much of the sun.
