This village walk will take you to the home of the Pygmies also referred to as the Batwa people who will welcome and dance for you and they are open to questions so feel free to interact with them and ask about their way of living among others. Depending on the time you may also visit the local school and the community hospital and other development projects in Buhoma community.
Nkuringo Walking Safari
Among the Walking Safaris in Uganda, this one starts in either Nkuringo or Buhoma sectors. Nkuringo is the southern sector of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park well as Buhoma is the northern. This walk take you through the Impenetrable forest from either side following a trail and this can last for 6-7 hours depending on the pace you will be moving on. Many travelers prefer walking from Nkuringo to Buhoma due to the fact that the southern part of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park is at a high altitude and as such you will be sloping instead of climbing.
