Safari took leadership of the family and has been able to firmly hold all its members together through times of happiness and seasons of trial. The family joyfully embraced healthy baby twins just seven months into safari reign and they were named Katungi and Muhoozi. Sadly, Katungi passed on without seeing his second birthday. Currently the family has 19 members including 2 silverbacks.
Christmas gorilla group is the new group in Nkuringo located in the southern part of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in Uganda.
