You will be traveling in a 4×4 safari vehicle – visiting remote communities, and getting the best possible chance to spot the Mountain Gorillas in their natural habitat. Conditions during the gorilla trek can be muddy and uncomfortable. But the sheer thrill in coming across a habituated family of Mountain Gorillas, dominated by a great male silverback, outweighs any difficulty. You need to be prepared and fit enough to walk up to 4-6 hours – up and downhill. A top tip is to pack some gardening gloves to assist in any uphill climbs.
The vehicle is large enough to space and carries everything needed for the duration of this trip. As the early bird species catches the worm, the early camper sights the animals.
