Bwindi gorilla trekking permits costs USD700 per person per trek for non- residents, USD600 per person per trek for residents and UGX250000 for East African Citizens. Once you secure a gorilla trekking permit, it is valid for one day, but you are allowed to be in meters with the gentle giants for only one hour if you paid USD700 for normal tracking and if you pay USD1500 for the habituation experience, you will be allowed four hours but you can still do other activities like birding and nature walks on that very day and you do not pay entry fees as your permit is for that particular date/day
